Bob Sherman has lived in Atlantic Highlands, with his wife Arleen since 1984. After many years operating mall based jewelry stores, they opened a jewelry store on First Avenue in 2004. < Back Bob Sherman Board Member They helped start the second irritation of the Atlantic Highlands Chamber in 2006 , and have been active since. Arleen and Bob both have degrees in psychology. , Bob spent 4 years active duty in the Army Security Agency from 1966-1970 .Bob served on the AH parking committee since it’s inception until it’s recent demise.

In the summer of 2021, Tony and his family took over our local movie theater and renamed it The Atlantic Moviehouse, renting the cinema from Fred Rast. < Back Tony Zertuche President As we were all trying to emerge from the pandemic, Tony bet on movie buffs and local patrons coming back to the movies. Luckily, it was a good bet as Atlantic Highlands and the surrounding communities stepped up and supported our beloved theater! Soon our local celebrity director, Kevin Smith, came calling and bought the theater with a small group of visionary investors and asked Tony to come along for the ride. The rest is history being made right now!

< Back New Jersey Blind Citizens Association 732-291-0878 New Jersey Blind Citizens Association’s was founded originally as the NJ Blind Men’s Club by four courageous men 1910. In 1929, the men created an innovative camp like program on the shores of Leonardo that provided training in independent living skills for blind and visually impaired men from all over the State of NJ. It also allowed opportunities for socialization, recreational activities, and resources to assist them in living healthier, independent lives. It was there the men also learned how to swim, fish, hike and go boating and forget, at least for a while, they were blind. The men quickly named it “Camp Happiness” and became part of the area’s history. Camp Happiness is celebrating its 95th year of providing free creative programming, wellness, educational forums, and socialization opportunities for the blind and visually impaired. NJBCA is a non-sectarian, tax-exempt organization registered with the state of New Jersey. The generosity of donors, events and community grant support the agency.
